The first correspondence translator training course started.

The first monthly “The World of Translation” (e-TRANS) published. 1980 February “Translation Grammar” methods first published in “The World of Translation”.

Translation service started (Presently operated by TMC).

Babel Co., Ltd was incorporated as to take over all business operations of the Japan Translator Training Center. Babel International (Babel Staff) was incorporated.

Babel Trans-Media College established

Babel Corporation incorporated in San Francisco, California.

Babel’s homepage goes on line.

Babel International changed to Babel Staff Inc.

Babel Trans-Media Center opened

Babel University Professional School Of Translation, an online Professional School, established in the United States.

Babel Corporation opened its Honolulu office

Babel University and Babel University Professional School of Translation were accredited by the Accrediting Committee of Distance Education and Training Council.

Exclusive license agreement was established regarding operation of Certified Professional Secretary) and CPA (Certified Administrative Professional) in Japan.

New website Global Knowledge Garden opened.

The International Paralegal Major was accredited as the fourth major of PST.
