翻訳ルール（4）—ResumeとCover letter—

只今「U.S. Front Line」に掲載中の、バベルTMCの使える法律翻訳基本ルールです。

アメリカでの就職活動には必須のResumeとCover Letter
特に書類審査の最初に読まれるCover Letterは丁寧で間違いのない、簡潔な文章を心がけたいものです。以下のCover letterには修正したほうが良い箇所が含まれています。面接官にアピールするために、あなたならどのように書き換えますか？

(問題)
I am writing to you today as to the position Star pathways advertised recently. I am very interested in applying for this position of junior Officer. I am now currently working at a large private financial institution in Tokyo, where I am in charge of the oversight of the loans for business specializing in imported foreign goods. I have also enclosed a list of references in regards to my work experience as well. I think I can probably handle almost any jobs related to finance. I am waiting for your reply. Thank you for your help.

（ヒント）修正した方がより良いポイント

1）応募する職種、掲載されていた広告などはできるだけ細かく具体的に

2）重複表現を避ける

3）“I think” ”Probably” ”almost” などの表現は避け、ポジティブな表現で文章を終える

I am writing to you today in regards to the Star pathways position advertised in the January 1,1995 edition of the International finance Newspaper. Specially, I am interested in applying for the Junior Officer position. I am working at a large private financial institution in Tokyo, where I am in charge of loans for business specializing in imported goods. I have also enclosed a list of references you can contact in regards to my work experience. I am confident that I can meet the demand of the Junior Officer position at Star Pathways. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
